Volunteers Needed!!
Without volunteers great programs like this can't happen!

Meet all six Board of Education candidates.

Running for the BOE are Republicans are Susan Renner, John Ireland, Keith Bishop, and Linda Sanacora and Democrats, Chris Moore and Alan Meyers.

Moderated by Lyne Landry. The 2009 Forum will be Lyne's 6th Education Forum and she's terrific! !We're lucky to have her back again this year.

This is always an exciting and informative event for the GPTA, its members, and our community. We actually have a fun time putting on this event I think, in part, because it's well organized and the candidates know it's non-partisan, not a time for campaigning (no campaign literature/paraphernalia is allowed in the room) and it is not a debate so there is much less pressure. It's a time to showcase the candidates so our community members may become more informed at the polls.

In terms of volunteers, thank you to those that have already offered to help - I appreciate your enthusiasm! Still needed:

2 folks to time the candidates
greeters - hand out cards to the audience for their questions, carry pencils/pens, hand in questions cards to the reviewers
3 people to help set up and run the video cameras
break down of the room

We will begin setting up at 7PM sharp and start the program promptly at 7:30PM.
The more hands we have to help set up the better.
